Pick up where you stopped reading
When you read in the e-book — on the same device or on your iPad — the app translates your reading position into the matching listening position and sends it to your other devices. The next time you connect to CarPlay, playback starts right there, with no prompt on the screen.
It is only applied when text and audio can be matched confidently, which requires an indexed audiobook.
The app never jumps back more than ten minutes — so a late look-up in the book does not rewind your listening position.
Notes
CarPlay works even when the iPhone app is in the background.
When disconnecting, progress is immediately saved and synced.
When switching books via CarPlay, the latest progress is automatically applied.
Positions from your iPhone or iPad are applied while you're driving too — again without a dialog in the car.
