Privacy Policy — AudioBookSync

AudioBookSync (“the App”) is developed by Hans-Peter Jordi (“we”, “the developer”). This policy describes what data the App collects, how it is used, and the rights you have regarding that data.
Summary
AudioBookSync does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device and in your iCloud Drive, under your Apple account.
What the App Accesses

Data We Do NOT Collect
AudioBookSync does not collect or transmit:
- Your name, email, account details
- Your audiobook library contents
- Reading or listening progress
- Usage analytics, crash reports or telemetry
- Advertising identifiers
- Location data
We do not operate any servers that receive data from the App.
Third-Party SDKs
AudioBookSync uses the following open-source components bundled into the App:
- WhisperKit (MIT License): optional on-device speech recognition. Runs locally; no network requests.
- ZIPFoundation (MIT License): local EPUB unpacking. No network requests.
No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs are included.
In-App Purchase
If you purchase “AudioBookSync Pro”, Apple processes the payment through your Apple ID and informs the App only whether the purchase is active. No payment data is transmitted to or stored by the developer. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies to the transaction: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
iCloud Drive Sync
Your data (audiobooks, EPUBs, progress files, transcription indexes) is stored in the iCloud Drive container associated with your Apple ID. Synchronisation between your devices is handled entirely by Apple’s iCloud infrastructure. The developer has no access to this data.
Children’s Privacy
AudioBookSync is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any data from children or any other users.
Your Rights
Because no personal data is collected or stored by us, there is no data to request, modify or delete. To remove all app-related data, uninstall the App and optionally delete the iCloud Drive → AudioBookSync folder.
Changes to this Policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at the same URL as this document. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
