Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 April 2026
1. Scope
These Terms of Use apply to the iOS app “AudioBookSync” and its in-app purchase “AudioBookSync Pro”, offered by Hans-Peter Jordi, Unterhollstr. 14, 4107 Ettingen, Switzerland (the “developer”).
2. Licence
You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for private purposes on Apple devices associated with your Apple ID. Apple’s “Standard EULA for end users” applies in addition.
3. In-App Purchase “Pro”
The purchase of “AudioBookSync Pro” is processed exclusively through your Apple ID. Apple’s payment, refund and contractual terms apply. The developer receives no payment data and cannot initiate refunds directly.
4. User Content
You are solely responsible for ensuring that audiobooks, e-books and other content you import into the App have been lawfully acquired and are intended for private use. The developer does not provide any content.
5. No Cloud Services
The developer does not operate any servers that store or synchronise your content. Synchronisation between devices occurs exclusively through your iCloud Drive under your Apple ID. Apple is responsible for iCloud availability and integrity.
6. Availability and Changes
The developer aims to provide a stable service but gives no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Feature scope and these Terms may change; material changes will be announced in the App and on this website.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer’s liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. In particular, the developer is not liable for data loss or sync issues outside the developer’s control (e.g. iCloud outages, device failures, user error). Mandatory statutory liability rules remain unaffected.
8. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by removing it from your device. Any auto-renewing subscriptions — should they be offered in the future — are managed in your Apple ID settings.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected. Place of jurisdiction is Basel, Switzerland, to the extent permitted by law.
